Very nice 1971 2600 V6 Mercury Capri offered on eBay in the USA.
Looks pretty straight although from this front view the driver's side headlight bezel is a little droopy...but I am being picky.
Amber 'Running Lights' in the grille are distinctly US.
Who fitted the bumper over-riders???
Notice anything special in the engine-bay?
Yep. Big 'ol York compressor for the air-conditioning.
Air cleaner reads '2600 2V'. The 'V' is for carburetor venturi, hence 2V is a two barrel carb.
The V term was also used by Ford Australia often on engine badges on their cars. For example, the Australian 1971 1600XL Capris had a badge on the fender/wing/guard reading 1600 2V.
