This photo was taken the first time I had ever taken the RS3100 to a car club event; the RS Owner's Club of Victoria's 2005 Winter Concours. I didn't enter the car in the event, I just wanted to take a look at the other cars.
I recall the looks on the faces when I drove in! No one had ever seen this car at a Ford club day! After all, it had been hiding for 20 years or so!
This photo was used in the Australian Classic Car 2006 Year Book with the caption "Rare RS3100 Capri". I was humbled.
Euroa Show and Shine 2005; my first official entry in a car show. It was a great day with many splendid cars on show.
I strongly recommend anyone with an interest in classic cars attend this day; no entry fees, a beautiful location where a huge and diverse range of classics go on show for you to 'get up close' with.

February 2007 Small Ford Sunday staged by the RS Owner's Club of Victoria. Great day but VERY hot; about 35C. Excellent turn-out of many UK, European and Australian small Fords. This picture was taken by Jewels of www.cortinamk1.com and my thanks for their permission to use it on my blog.
I re-painted the bumpers and head-light bezels during the week and days leading up to this show. The car was even given a polish! I forgot to black the tyres though...
AOMC / RACV British and European day at Flemington* Racecourse member's carpark. It is Sunday March 4 2007. Great turn out of almost every popular marque from the UK and the continent.
The RS sits alongside a very clean MK3 owned by another Capri Car Club of Victoria member. The 'UK Ford' section here features a MK1 and MK2 Cortina GT (more photos of the later in my 'No Capris Here' page), a Cobra (UK Ford?), a Ford 10 CX Deluxe and a few Zephyrs.
* For those international visitors to the site, Flemington Racecourse is where the famous Melbourne Cup horse race is held the first Tuesday of November every year since 1896.
June 2007. The Cortina MK1 Owner's Club asked our club to join them on a run to the Rob Roy Garage in Chrismas Hills, 30 Kms NE of Melbourne. It was agreat day and lunch was provided for us at the home of Steve Lunn and family. The shed is in the background.
Steve has a fantastic small Ford collection, including the RS1600 pictured with my car for the Unique Cars article. Some excellent automobilia and motorbikes live in his shed also.
There are photos of the bikes and cars on this site
Sunday July 15th at Sandown Raceway. The Capri Club of Victoria provides those who braved the cold winter day to watch Sports Sedan and Historics with some concours fodder. Capris, Mustangs, Cobras and Minis are on show.
Great day and we all enjoyed a brisk presentation lap.

The Transit van is a 1967 V4 Dormobile original camper. It has just travelled 8,000 kms to the Northern Territory and back. Only hold-up was a front wheel bearing, that he thought he should have changed before he left.
What a gem.

Small Ford Sunday 2008
I don't know where all these original Capris are hiding. This early 1969 production car is in pretty smart condition and is very original; only resprayed. Rare car being an automatic 1600 GT.
1970 XL 1600. Absolutely original. Factory driving light option is quite rare too. The ominous 03510 number plates suggest it may become another victim of a V8 transplant. I hope not...
